(London) I’ve been MIA from writing but in my defence it’s the holidays and I’ve been stuffing myself silly with Christmas food, running off the food (got up to 10K today, yay!), shopping the sales and generally lazing about. The most productive thing I got done is pick up my New Years Eve dress. I took full advantage of the Boxing Day sales and got this cool dress from Miss Selfridge for only £18! With a futuristic sleeve on one shoulder and a gorgeous green colour and accessorised with lots of gold and glitter, I think I found the perfect one.

After moving to the UK, I’ve been on the hunt for a go-to shopping website that can live up my favorites from NYC like Nasty Gal, Piperlime and Rachel Roy and I have finally found them! For affordable and seasonal trends, Asos.com is my favorite and Piperlime’s competitor for me is Farfetch.com.
In the words of the company, farfetch.com forms the hub of a global fashion community that unites independent boutiques around the world with fashion lovers. Farfetch.com takes the high end boutique shopping experience online in a less confusing way than other online shopping sites and the careful curating of styles and trends is obvious.
As I mentioned, most of the stuff I love on the site is high end, meaning I need to start saving for something now for a great Winter 2011 buy from their great selection of jackets and designer handbags. If I could pick my ideal Fall/Autumn outfit from the site however, you’d see me in the outfit below!
Karl Lagerfeld, the platinum legend, is creating an affordable collection for Macy’s Impulse. I am truly sad that I am not in the USA for this once in a decade (at best) opportunity to buy Lagerfeld designs. All my American girls, go get it.
I’m happy to report that one of my favorite Canadian stores is opening up shop in the USA! Aritzia, a place where you can get the best up and coming designs, brands, trends and quality under one well decorated roof, now has a home in SoHo, NYC. With a grand opening this summer, the store is going to be one of the new highlights of the SoHo shopping district. The interior, inspired by natural phenomenon like earthquakes and volcanoes will boast eleven murals and mosaics designed specially for the store. I cannot wait to shop here and I promise all New Yorkers that it will be worth a visit.

I received a Shiseido lipstick at the press preview for the L&T Ultimate Facelift that has made it into my daily routine, so I had to feature it on this blog. The stick of Perfect Rouge Almond Pink BR702 that I am obsessed with is the nude shade that I have always searched for but never found. It’s hard to find a shade that is not transparent yet nude on almost all skin tones but this one does it. Get it in store or online for $25.
