If you’ve been to TheStylester.com in the last few weeks, you already know how obsessed I am with Jefferey Campbell’s Lita shoes. They are equal parts retro glam and rocker chic and an instant cult classic. Top bloggers like Rumi Neely and Vanessa Hong have been wearing and raving about them so I knew I just had to get myself a pair. They were selling out of the boots in black on all the top online shopping sites so when I found a pair in my size at Nastygal.com, I snapped them up as fast as I could! When they were delivered to my office, my colleagues were baffled by them and wondering why I was nearly jumping up and down with joy. Here’s are some photos of the newest prized possession in my closet.

As I had mentioned in a previous post, Spring shoes recently debuted in the USA and threw a party at their store for some NYC bloggers last month. I picked up this gorgeous pair of lace up booties from Spring called McEntyre in taupe that I love! I got compliments on them from strangers while walking around the East Village, which is totally validating, and after walking in them the whole night, I have to admit, they are quite comfortable despite the mid-heel. They look great with black or grey tights and super skinny pants. I wore them with cable knit woolly socks which also looked cool. Here is how I styled them for a dressed down weekend look.
I’m wearing McEntyre boots by Spring, cable-knit knee high socks scrunched down by Aldo, skirt by H&M, loose tank by ADAM and cardigan by Rachel Roy.

The one shoe that has been seen on most elite fashion blog sites, hands down is Jeffrey Campbell‘s Lita shoe. At first, I thought it looked too 60s and wasn’t sure how I felt about them, but after seeing how striking it looks on some of these bloggers, I’m a converted fan. It retails for $145 plus tax and shipping and handling and can be found at select online retailers like Karmaloop and DNA Footwear. I am seriously considering buying a pair if I can track it down in black. That color seems to be sold out everywhere! If that’s not a sign that it’s hot, then I don’t know what is… no matter what you say about how retro they look.

Spring shoes have been around in Canada (where I’m from) for years and has finally come to the US! I was invited to the grand store opening in Manhattan Mall last month to preview the store and sample the goods along with many other fashion and style bloggers. We were given gift certificates to pick out our favorite styles and take them home with us. Naturally, when you put a bunch of fashion obsessed bloggers in a shoe store all at once, mayhem ensues. The store got mobbed pretty quickly with over half hour long lines just to cash out! I took a rain-check and opted to come in later to pick up a really cool pair of Wingtip Oxford shoes that I’m absolutely in love with.
They are called Bramer and retail for $39.99 plus tax. I was lucky enough to snag up a pair in brown since it seems like that color is sold out on the Spring website. I styled them with plain black leggings and a white slinky pullover, on a Sunday stroll through SoHo (photography by Joel Zimmer).

Summer is officially here and with it is the necessity to have some great new summer sandals for everyday wear. I love these flats from Zigi NYC because they embody the sparkly fresh feel of summer. If you haven’t seen the ankle strappy and embellished look all over the city already, get ready because they will be a hot trend this season.
This updated version of the gladiator trend combines a tough look with bohemian and flirty details like beads, braided leather and chains. They are comfortable but will dress up an outfit instantly for those of us who like to add some drama into their wardrobe during the day.

Did you always think that the beach is a no makeup, fancy clothes, jewelery or heels zone? I used to think so too till I started to take inspiration from some of my favorite celebrities on the beach and some my friends who would wear cheap earring even when swimming in the ocean. I started with earrings, then graduated to waterproof eyeliner for a beachy cat-eye look and finally to braving wearing heels to the beach.
When wearing heels on the beach, it is very important to wear wedges to avoid your feet from sinking and swimming in the sand. Below are my top three picks of the perfect beach wedges.
I saw these Coach wedges in the window of their 5th Avenue store and had to do a double take. These espadrilles have a sky high look because the ropes come all the way up to the back of the ankle. I’m obsessed with them!

Michele Wedge from Coach – $218.00.

I’m not a weddings expert or a bride-to-be, but I was instantly ready to say I Do to these gorgeous Chinese Laundry Wedding Head over Heels shoes. The platform is very of the moment, the lace is timeless and the ribbon and bow add a bit of a fashion statement.
Most brides decide to go with long ground skimming wedding gowns. These shoes are perfect for the walk down the aisle because when the bride will be gliding towards the alter, the ankle details will be hidden by the gown. Later on when it time to dance up a storm at the reception, the cute little bow and details will be visible as she picks up her dress to move around.
In addition to all the gorgeous details, the best part about these shoes is the price! They are only $99! You can also find affordable shoes to match for your bridesmaids within the collection.
Talking about these shoes are really making me want to get married so I’ll stop now and send you over to the rest of the Chinese Laundry Wedding collection. A big congratulations to all the brides of 2010!

The first time I found a pair of Zigi shoes was at a high end shoe store in Toronto in 2004. It was love at first sight! In comparison to only the Stoneridge and Aldo shoes that fit my college years budget, the Zigis were like Cinderella’s glass slippers. I found the perfect pair of black wedge knee high boots by Zigi soon after that lasted me years and earned me lots of compliments. The comfort factor cannot go unnoticed either – I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge in my 3 inch wedge boots and could still keep walking.
When passing the flagship store in NoHo today, I couldn’t resist peeking in. I took advantage of the big sale at the store and bought another pair of super comfortable wedges. I think these will be the perfect transition from the ankle boots of winter to the strappy sandals of summer, while still keeping a hard chunky edge. I’m still not 100% sure though – should I keep ‘em or do the old return?

Check out the Zigi shoes sale for yourself at 647 Broadway (at Bleecker).

I cannot wait for spring/summer so I can wear my hot Theory heels!

can't wait to strut around in these babies
I got them during the winter, because when I saw them, I fell in love and couldn’t hold out till normal sandal wearing weather to invest in them. I’m keeping them safe and sound in my closet till it’s time! And yes, I do take them out once in a while to try them on.
Another awesome reason why I simply can’t wait for spring any longer! Not just the fact that its 14°F in NYC today! (that’s -9°C for my Canadian readers.)
