Titmouse, Inc., a full service animation studio and artists collective headquartered in Los Angeles had a party to celebrate their new NYC office on Friday, September 25, 2010. Among comedy writers, animators and a general mass of creative folk from the city, a few non-industry people like an ad-chick friend of mine and I swung by to check it out. Having arrived a bit late, we missed the open bars and caught the beer kegs at their foamy dieing stage, but it was fun none the less! I spotted a really pretty girl wearing a super cute outfit who I snapped a few photos of to feature in the streetstyle section of TheStylester.com, so keep your eye out for her!

The 2010 MTV VMAs are just a few days away and excitement and anticipation is brewing for what craziness might go down during the show. Last year we saw Lady Gaga covered in blood then hung by her neck, a daring aerial performance by Pink and who can forget Kanye’s I’mma let you finish stunt with poor Taylor Swift?

This year we can expect huge appearances by Drake -my favorite Canadian artist, Eminem, Nicki Minaj – the fiercest lady in music, Ke$ha, Katy Perry-who is up for best female video of the year  and Justin Bieber-my second favorite Canadian artist and absolute cutie (just watch this homemade Youtube video from his early days if you need to be convinced) who is up for best new artist of the year.

Since Katy Perry and Justin Bieber are spokespeople for Proactiv, TheStylester was invited to participate in Proactiv’s first ever blogger viewing party on September 12, 9pm! A viewing party is always fun and especially if it is sponsored by Proactiv. If you watched the pilot episode on How to Make it in America, then you’ve already taken a virtual trip to the Brooklyn Navy Yard with Ben and Cam. A place from history, made prominent in movies and TV shows like in countless CSI-esque dramas. If you’d like a deeper dive into the Brooklyn Navy Yard, come by powerHouse Arena, 37 Main Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn at 7pm on  Wednesday, March 24, 2010 to pick up the book The Brooklyn Navy Yard by John Bartelstone. PowerHouse will be hosting the book release party, and from experience, these are often quite fun and will give you an excuse to check out the amazing PowerHouse Arena.
