(New York) I’m in love with Blake Lively… no, just her stylist, whoever this mystery person is. Blake’s stylist is a genius! Apart from the standard awesomeness of the Gossip Girl outfits, the style team behind Lively always has her looking stunning, sexy and current which is why she graces the pages of The Stylester on a regular basis.

She was spotted in a sublime Valentino outfit at the unveiling of Godiva’s Valentine’s Day chocolates in New York last week. What makes this outfit special? Blake is wearing two key Spring trends – lace and pastels. Her Valentino skirt is the body con pencil shape and with a pastel lace, there is a touch of romanticism in the outfit – very fit for Valentine’s day.

Blake Lively wore this gorgeous Marchesa Spring 2012 dress to the Gossip Girl 100th Episode party. The feather-like detail on the bust is reminiscent of the Alexander McQueen peacock dress that caused a big fuss after being “copied” on Harry Potter but the sapphire tones in this dress are much more subtle yet regal. Bangs, fringe, whatever you want to call it, is like a bad romance for me. I outgrow it and keep going back to it over and over. I love it when I spot hot celebs like Kim Kardashian rocking the look and run to my hairdresser and get fringed again. Leighton Meester usually keeps things very classic when it comes to her hair, but these bangs suit her so well!

I’m still waiting to see Green Lantern. Is it worth it? Let me know! I would watch it just for Ryan Reynold’s hotness and to see Blake Lively as a brunette. So many guys I meet these days are more into brunettes than blonds, which came as a shock to me. I think Lively hits both types of guys, the blond fans as well as the fans of darker features with this new look.

Leighton Meester was recently announced as the new face of Vera Wang Fragrance, Lovestruck. The fragrance was launched in the UK in June 2011 and will launch in the USA in September 2011.

Animal print has been en vogue for a long while, at various degrees, but animal tees are making a serious revival in high fashion. Prada’s animal tee was sported by the Olsen twins just recently and Kanye West and Liv Tyler have been seen in the possibly collector item of the Rottweiler tee shirt by Givenchy. I’m eagerly waiting for the day when animal shirts spread out of racks at designer stores and rural Walmarts and into Forever 21.

I have mixed feelings about over the knee boots. When they inch up to your thighs, it can look a little risqué but with the right balance of outerwear on top  it can work. To carry off the tall/thigh high boot look, follow three simple rules.

1. Don’t draw attention to the rest of your outfit and let the boots be the only eye-catching piece of the ensemble.

2. Wear a cropped jacket or a basic pea coat to off-set the risqué factor of over-the-knee boots.

3. Try a color other than black when buying over-the-knee boots so that people wont associate them with trashy ones.
