Dark under eye circles are something that affects a lot of women, 53% of all women to be exact, according to a study done by Clinique in 2006 (cited in NYTimes.com). More than half of the world’s women have to deal with dark circles and bags under their eyes which are caused primarily by genetics and can be made worse through lifestyle choices like staying up late and eating salty food that make your body retain water. Whatever the reason might be, dark circles are not fun and I’m constantly looking for makeup and products to that will make them go away or be less visible.
After years of searching, I did find the perfect concealer from Make Up Forever, but still feel the need to improve my under eye regimen. Enter Elizabeth Grant’s The Socializer.
With the promise of “looking like it never happened” even after a late night of partying, the duo of The Socializer Bright Lights and The Socializer Late Nights had a lot to live up to. Bright Lights is said to have hydrating, cooling, soothing, de-puffing, dark-circle-erasing, illuminating ingredients that makes the morning after look like the night before never happened. Late Nights is meant to be used before you crash to recover over night.
I thought I’d do a before and after type of test and the results were good! The Socializer actually did make a difference when I wore it under my concealer. I was hoping it would work without using concealer altogether, but I guess it isn’t magic after all. If you look closely, you can tell the difference. It is also more noticeable in person, or maybe just to me because I’m OBSESSED with it!
Both the Late Nights and Bright Lights formulas come in one cute little package (that looks almost like a fancy cigar container) and is available for $40 on the Elizabeth Grant website.
