3 easy Feng Shui tips for on-the-go busy girls
Feng Shui can get pretty complicated, specially when you get into number charts and flow of Chi. Here, I’ve simplified the basics of what you need to know about Feng Shui and how to use it quickly and easily.
- Remember: Less is more. Clear your clutter. Get rid of old things to make room for new things. How are you meant to leave the past behind if you are surrounded by it?

- East is a good direction. If you sleep with your head to the east, put your workstation in the eastern corner of the room, etc. Good things will happen.

- Yellow and orange are colours that will “ground” you. These warm and cozy colors will make you feel at home and at ease, and ground you enough in the “now” that you will feel stable enough to put money away and save for later.

I hope this will serve as a quick and easy intro to Feng Shui for us busy and frantic 20 somethings.

If you’re in NYC, come stay cool in the shade with PURE TODAY!
We will start at Grand Army Plaza at 2pm and proceed along the footpaths, performing site-specific choreographies along the way, ultimately arriving at the Lake for our Tree Adoption Ceremony around 3:30pm.
The ceremony will end at 4pm, and we hope you’ll join us for our after-party at Cheryl’s Global Soul Food & Bar Sepia, near Grand Army Plaza.
Go to http://www.puredance.org/news_events.html for the specific route, timing and details.
About our Tree Adoption Fundraiser: I understand that many people have had trouble donating via the Prospect Park Alliance link (http://www.prospectpark.org/support/donate ).

How To Get Into the Gramercy Park Hotel Rooftop Bar
- Go on a long weekend when all the New Yorkers are out of town and it’s deserted anyway.
- Walk into the lobby, act cool, don’t rush! and make your way to the front desk. Don’t go straight to the elevator because it doesn’t work without a key card.
- Tell them you want to go up to the Roof Club. If they ask whether you are staying at the hotel, say “Not tonight.” (and cross your fingers and toes and hope it works!

I’m wearing the Julia dress by Calypso today, in the twist tie fashion of course. Although Nicole gives it props, I think she could have worn it better.
This is a wonderful and versatile dress and although it doesn’t jump out at you on rack, it is very versatile and has an dressy-casual look, perfect for dinner with friends or weekend brunch and hanging in the city. Might be little too dressy for work, but I’m rockin’ it anyway!
